FORMATION OF DOCUMENT-BASED COMPETENCE AT CLASSES IN UKRAINIAN FOR PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES (A STUDY OF BUSINESS DOCUMENTS)

Abstract
Introduction. The main task of the classes in the Ukrainian language at the higher school is the formation of the language competence as a component of national consciousness. At the same time, an important role in the professional field is given to knowledge from various sections of document science, in particular skills and skills of registration, work with business documents, and their editing. Therefore, knowledge of the course of document science is an integral part of the general competence of a specialist in any field of activity and is formed on the basis of the competence of the speaker in the course of the Ukrainian language in a professional direction. The purpose of this study is to determine the priority areas of work for the formation of documentary competence of students of non-philology specialties in classes on the business Ukrainian language, the development of a system of exercises that would help in the formation and development of skills of business communication. Results. For the formation of documentary competence it is necessary to teach students to distinguish between different types of documents, to formulate ideas about their structure, especially the design of individual details. Since the basis of the service document is a text that must clearly and conclusively reflect the cause and purpose of its writing, to reveal the essence of a particular case, to contain evidence, conclusions, then the main work with the students is carried out precisely on the text of the business document. Originality. The paper proposes a series of exercises that will help to formulate the document competence of students of non-philology specialties. Such are exercises for editing and translation of documents, compilation of a coherent statement on business topics, and also the formation of the ability to substantiate his opinion. Conclusion. Consequently, an important task of teaching Ukrainian in a higher school is not only the formation of speech skills, but also the ability to use speech in the process of professional activity. In order to fulfill their professional duties, each graduate must master not only the knowledge of his specialty, but also be familiar with the basics of the culture of the Ukrainian language, the component part of which is document-knowledge competence.
