Abstract
Introduction. From ancient times the national-patriotic education of the younger generation has been drawing attention of researchers. This question has always been and always will be "number 1" for every society, regardless of the existence, territorial boundaries, government system and so on. Is it relevant for modern Ukrainian society as well. Because, unfortunately at the beginning of 21th century we faced with the problem of a real threat to the territorial integrity and inviolability of our country; a social changes in society among which the family problems, domestic violence, aggression, economic crisis, deformation vision and values in different social groups are of particular importance. Purpose. The desire to underscore the relevance of a national-patriotic education in the present-day realities of the XXI century and show practical steps of patriotism development among young people. Results. The national-patriotic education of the modern citizen should not be based on nationality, beliefs, place of residence, parents' social status, education and others. The mind of a person should share the essence of the national idea, proclaimed in the state, and the soul should be opened to humanity, honesty, conscience, compassion and tolerance. National patriotism has nothing to do with national chauvinism, national extremism, racism. In today's world patriotism performs the unusual role - to be a strong chain for those citizens who live in the state, according to unity, understanding, responsibility to the future generations for preservation of national-cultural heritage. Originality. The national-patriotic education of the person - doesn't base on institution only, such as family or school, it is an interaction of common: the state, community and family. Ukraine, from time immemorial, has always been considered native land for various peoples who lived peacefully together, worked and raised children, increasing the social capital. We have some examples of model school systems with effective educational results for the education of the youth national-patriotic feelings - system Rusova, Konstantina Ushinskogo Vasil Sukhomlynsky, Alexandra Zakharenko and others. Therefore, we can achieve the goal in modern conditions only in unity of the experience generations and modern approaches to the educational process. Conclusion. In school children are not preparing for life, they just live. Every child is a person with "Self-concept". And for the teacher a very important task is to ensure the educational process without breaking what already exists and complement the development of a child with qualities of best human values and the world cultural heritage. We shall notice, while choosing teaching methods, techniques and exercises of national-patriotic education the focus shouldn't be on the knowledge only, but on the formation of child's attitudes and values as well. The implementation of this task is possible only in equal relationship between all the participants of the educational process: teachers, pupils, parents and the public; mutual dialogue and willingness to practice their own spiritual growth. Own example, advice, overall project and discussion will be effective in that case when trust, respect, honor and love are gained between the parties of the educational process.
