Abstract

The article investigates the state of teaching staff preparation to work in the field of inclusive education. The article states that Ukraine radically changes its education policy concerning children with special educational needs. It is in search of the ways and means of improving the staff professional training to work with SEN children. Special attention is focused on upgrading training and retraining of the staff which will provide inclusive education in Ukraine. The development of the professional competence of those who will work in the field of inclusive education is outlined. Personal characteristics, knowledge, professional skills of teaching staff are to be improved in order to solve these problems. The concept of continuous national education is viewed as the means of solving these problems. The concept defines a new approach to the structure of the education system, the content of education, the continuity of its levels. The article looks at the content of staff training as an important means ensuring the quality of inclusive education. Hence it is to be updated. This process involves continuous improvement of curricula and teaching technologies. Solving these problems will eliminate the contradiction between theory and practice of teaching staff preparation to work in the field of inclusive education. The increasing role of higher education at the present stage of the development of Ukrainian society determines its structural reforms. Their aim is to provide the inclusive education with qualified teaching staff.
