Abstract

Introduction. The task of any higher educational establishment lies in formation of a well-integrated personality, of a specialist who is competitive at the modern labor market. It is impossible to solve this problem without improving the mathematical background of future specialists in a higher educational establishment. Thus, the necessity arises to find new methods, ways and forms of education, due to which it is possible to form personality's intellectual qualities, to develop creative and cognitive powers, to improve students' positive motivation, to widen and further develop students' individual work. The analysis of a modern condition of organizational methodology of students' individual work has been conducted in studying advanced mathematics, in particular analytical geometry, in higher educational establishments, and it also allows to conclude that implementing elements of individual work to the studying process is a current problem, demanding urgent solution. A number of scientists have considered the issue of individual acquirement of knowledge, the essence of individual work, technology and methodology of its arrangement. However, the arrangement of students' individual work in studying analytical geometry using innovative technologies has been considered in an insufficient way. Purpose. The purpose is to analyze innovative approaches to organizing students' individual work in studying analytical geometry. Results. While organizing individual learning of education content on advanced mathematics, a teacher must provide: the development of creative powers and activation of students' mental performance; students' acquisition of fundamental basic knowledge on “Advanced Mathematics” discipline in the process of individual work; students' formation of an inner need to upgrade and deepen their knowledge constantly; the development of moral and volitional powers; the formation of practical skills of individual work, the ability to distribute their time in a rational way; the ability to define methods and ways of solving problems, connected with individual studying of the material; the formation of abilities to define methods and ways of solving problems, which arise in the production process and in everyday life. Originality. Rational arrangement of students' individual work using innovative forms allows not only to intensify work in quality acquisition of educational material, but also it lays foundation for students' further constant self-education and self-improvement. We offer to use to following in order to arrange students' individual work in studying analytical geometry: slide lectures; “Hands-On Course on Solving Exercises on Analytical Geometry” electronic simulator; materials of integrated elective course on analytical geometry; supportive notes; semantic notes; workbook on “Analytical Geometry”. Conclusion. The increased importance of individual work in the studying process in a higher educational establishment demands a certain arrangement of studying process, modernization of educational and methodical documentation, development of new didactic ways of learning etc. The experience of experimental research shows that combination of traditional and innovative approaches to organizing students' individual work ensures students' formation of needed competences and improvement of acquiring educational material on analytical geometry.
