TRAINING FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHES TO FORMATION OF THE VISUAL THINKING OF PUPILS BY THE MEANS OF INFOGRAPHIC

Abstract

Introduction. The relevance of the infographic study as the mean of formation of visual thinking of primary school pupils is determined by the fact that this method promotes the creative and intellectual development of future primary school teachers, forms informational and visual culture. Purpose. To consider the use of infographics in the process of training primary school teachers to formation of primary school pupils` visual thinking. Results. Infographic as the way of presenting information through graphics and text is effective mean of forming visual thinking of primary school pupils. Conceptualized and visual information helps to digest educational information consciously. For the efficient formation of visual thinking of primary school pupils, a future teacher must have basic knowledge of composition and chromatics, styling skills of realistic forms and designing infographic. The development of visual thinking by means of infographic will allow future primary school teachers to perform educational process in accordance with the requirements of modern visual and communicative space. Infographics is the inseparable component of the educational information that forms the visual thinking of primary school pupils. Information graphics introduces primary school pupils with materials, labor actions, sequence of actions, and demonstration of results. Infographics also helps primary school pupils to understand and learn much more educational information and promotes visual perception and imagination. Originality. It is proved that one of the means of training future primary school teachers to formation of primary school pupils' visual thinking is the development of creative infographic projects that can be used during the lessons of labor studies. In the process of designing infographics students solve the following educational tasks: to get skills of analyzing and structuring information, encoding of verbal information to visual information; to actualize basic knowledge of chromatics and composition (emphasizing the primary things through color, shape, size, composition and peculiarities of color impact on the perception of information, etc.); to develop the ability to form semantics of illustrations and to amplify a visual illustration with additional cognitive information that allows primary school teachers to establish cause-and-effect relationship independently, envisage nest actions, generate new knowledge; to learn how to compose additional informational elements and details that develop attention and observation of primary school pupils. Conclusion. The results of implementing the proposed assignments allow to conclude that training of future primary school teachers to formation of visual thinking by the means of infographics allows to solve the number of educational and pedagogical objectives: to enhance teaching and learning activities, to form the skills of systematizing, analyzing, outlying the important information, encoding and recoding educational information, to develop imaginative perception and visual thinking, to enhance figural competence and visual culture.
