SWOT Analysis for Cattle Breeding Firms: The Case Study of Biga District

Animal husbandry is one of the strategically important sector because of food safety and food supply. Biga has a great potential for cattle breeding. To use this potential, analyse of present conditions of the sector and sectoral planning are needed. For this particular purpose, SWOT analyse is used for cattle breeding sector of Biga. According to the most important results of the analyse; if modern production methods should be used instead of traditional ones, technological improvements in production processes will be achieved, cost reduced government supports are applied and increasing the efficiency of the institutions such as TKDK, Biga can use its great potential for cattle breeding sector.
