Abstract

This research was conducted in Table grape cultivars grafted on Kober 5BB american grapevine rootstock in seven years old Practical and Research Vineyard of Dardanos Campus of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University in 2009 and 2010 years. Vine vigour (1–5), lateral shoot vigour (0–4), number of lignified lateral shoot (number/shoot), shoot erectness (1–5), average internode length (cm), 4.–5., 7.–8. and 10.–11. internode thickness(mm), roundness coefficients of 4.–5., 7.–8. and 10.–11. internodes and hue and chroma values of canes of Cardinal, Yalova Çekirdeksizi, Amasya Beyazı, Ata Sarısı, Italia, Kozak Beyazı and Müşküle cultivars were determined. The best developed grape cultivars with regard to vine vigour ranked in descending order as Italia (4.18), Kozak Beyazı (4.14) and Yalova Çekirdeksizi (4.09). Ata Sarısı (3.47) was the weakest developed grape cultivar. Cardinal (2,68) had the highest lateral shoot vigour. In addition that, Cardinal (5.93) (number/shoot) was the most lignified lateral shoot constituted cultivar while Kozak Beyazı (3.24 number shoot) was the least lignified lateral shoot constituted cultivar. While Italia (4.63) had the most shoot erectness, Yalova Çekirdeksizi (4.16) had the least shoot erectness. While Kozak Beyazı (10.74 cm) had the longest average internode, Yalova Çekirdeksizi (6.01 cm) had the shortest average internode.
