EDUCATIONAL AND METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT FOR INNOVATION TECHNOLOGIES REALIZATION IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE TEACHING

Abstract

Introduction. Modern system of future teachers training is undergoing modernization in sphere of higher education as well as legislative changes. These processes are caused by integration and globalization tendencies, efforts to approximate national educational system to European standards. Consequently, a foreign language component in education is getting more and more important. So, a necessity arises to search for new technologies in foreign language teaching. Reorganization of the educational process on the grounds of new technologies sets the task to adapt the content of the educational programs and to develop educational and methodological support in accordance with the demands of the international labor market. Purpose. The aim of the article is to present the experience of the educational and methodological support for the realization of innovation technologies in foreign language teaching in higher educational establishments. Results. In the course of the research it has been found out that one of the conditions to effectively implement innovation technologies in foreign language teaching is to work out corresponding educational and methodological support. The main stages of its realization include: firstly, development of the programs that activate innovation activity of the pedagogical process subjects; secondly, working out the educational and methodological support, which is necessary for the realization of the developed programs. The first stage was realized through the development of the educational program for the academic discipline «Modern approaches to foreign language teaching», as well as the educational program for the academic discipline «Innovation approaches to foreign language teaching in higher educational establishments». After that we faced the necessity to work out the methodological support for the developed programs. This work was carried out systematically and covered the whole range of the questions included in its content. As a result, educational and methodological manuals «Methodology and practice of theme events holding in the course of professionally-oriented disciplines teaching», «Theatrical activities at foreign language lessons», etc. were developed. These teaching aids present the models of theme events on the grounds of innovation techniques application and information-communicative educational technologies, detailed recommendations as for the production of drama, plays, extracurricular activities in the process of professional pedagogical interaction of the subjects of education, etc. Originality. The author has for the first time improved the educational and methodological support for the realization of innovation educational technologies in the process of foreign language teaching in higher pedagogical educational establishments. It includes the package of teaching methodological aids and suggests a variety of active forms and methods of education which can be used in class or as extracurricular educational activities. Conclusion. Educational and methodological support for the realization of innovation technologies in foreign language teaching promotes implementation of edutainment technologies, interactive studying; ensures cooperation of the participants of the educational process not only in class, but also in the course of self-work; regulates the character of self-work on foreign languages; enables to widen the educational area, limited by the program and the textbook, through the analysis of the Internet data source, which, in its turn, broadens the knowledge about the future teaching profession; encourages the development of foreign language communicative environment; application of creative tasks based on search and analysis; implementation of students' continuous project work; solution of problem and situational tasks that model certain professional situations.
