Abstract

Generally, attenuated actual composite materials consist of accretion like fibre, fillers and particles and are cast in a set of ceramics, metals or polymers. Owing to the backdrop of attenuated abstracts like aluminium oxide, silicon carbide, graphite etc, the composites are hardly abased. In the anatomy of particles, bristles, administration and the alternation part, it is found that the performance, reliability and efficiency increases. The current paper is an effort to adapt an automated backdrop of Aluminium 6061 accretion with TiB2 nanoparticles with special reference to liquid metallurgy. In the ball milling process, a powder mixture placed in the ball mill is subjected to high-energy collision from the balls. By using this, the TiB2 micro particles are adapted in to nanoparticles and are correlated with Aluminium 6061 in stir casting process. The accession akin of accretion gets assorted from 0-15 wt% in footfall of 4 wt%. Mechanical properties of the material are studied by the tests such as scanning electron microscopy. Hardness and tensile strength comparison are made between micro Al6061-12% TiB2 with Nano Al6061-12% TiB2 composite. From the comparison, Nano Al6061-12% TiB2 was found to possess 96.4 BHN hardness which is much higher than micro Al6061-12% TiB2 and Al6061. Tensile strength result of Nano Al6061-12% TiB2, and the finding that its strength is tough than Micro Al6061-12% TiB2 concludes that Nano Al6061-12% TiB2 will be a better replacement of aluminium.
