KIND OF PRECEDENT-SETTING IN A.P. CHEKHOV’S STORY ?A VISIT TO FRIENDS?

The article is devoted to kind of precedent-setting problem in fiction texts. Definition of such concepts, as precedent-setting text and precedent-setting name is given in the article. In the process of studying precedent-setting texts and precedent-setting names it is necessary to remember that they are, as a rule, socially comprehended, meant for that fact that the texts are known, understood. Such phenomenon as kind of precedent-setting, takes a special place in A.P. Chekhov's work. The types of precedent-setting texts and precedent-setting names in the story of A.P. Chekhov ?A visit to friends? are considered for the first time in this article.
