Abstract
The article is devoted to apprehension of television preferences of junior pupils in the modern society. The influence of television discourse on child's development is controversial. Special attention is paid to the analysis of children's answers to the questions and essays, in which they described their favourite movies and cartoons. During data processing, it was noted that modern schoolchildren have not sufficient level of understanding of information broadcasted by media resources, watching their favourite movies and cartoons.
