Abstract

The article presents the results of research on the parameters of cellular immune protection determined by the relative number of CD3+, CD4+, CD8+, CD19+, CD16+ and immu-noregulatory index (CD4+/CD8+) markers in intact animals, and on the 7th day of the experi-mental bacterial-immune periodontitis. The study has been conducted under vivarium conditions on white, non-breeding, clinically healthy male rats. Experimental animals were divided into two groups: the first group – intact animals (n = 10); the second group - animals with experimental periodontitis on the 7th day of the study (n = 8). Experimental bacterial-immune periodontitis in experimental animals was induced by introducing into the tissue of the periodontal complex a mixture of microorganisms diluted with egg protein. Indicators of cellular immunity were determined by the method based on the interaction of monoclonal antibodies labeled with a fluorescence label with surface antigens of the lymphocytes. The obtained results were statistically analyzed using parametric and nonparametric statistical methods. Attention has been paid to the characteristic change in the indicators of cell immunity at the early stage of the development of the experimental periodontitis. In particular, in the period of acute manifestations of inflammatory response, at 7th day, there was an increase in the relative number of CD8+, CD16+ cells in the blood, and the content of CD3+, CD4+, CD19+ changed in the opposite direction, actually decreased. In this case, the immunoregulatory index (CD4+/CD8+) as an important indicator of immunological activity was reduced. After the investigation of the functional state of cellular immune defense in white rats with simulated bacterial-immune periodontitis, the violation of the functioning of the T-cell line of the immune system has been revealed, as evidenced by a decrease in the percentage of B- and T-cells due to T-helper cells, with an increase in the T-killers in the early period of development of inflammatory reaction in the periodontal com-plex
