Abstract
In congestive heart failure, fluid localized in an interlobar fissure produces a mass on the chest rontgenogram which simulates a tumor. Treatment of the cardiac decompensation results in the disappearance of the mass. Consequently, masses such as these have been designated as vanishing or phantom tumors of the lung. Here we report a case of vanishing tumour of lung in a patient with dilated cardiomyopathy which disappeared after the treatment of his cardiac failure.
