SKRIBING AS INNOVATIVE METHOD OF STUDY BIOLOGY IN UNIVERSITIES

Abstract
Active use in all areas of human activity requires teachers' professional mobility and readiness for self-development and lifelong learning. Under these conditions the role of basic education which provides the individual's occupational mobility, his willingness to study the new technologies including the information ones, is very significant. Purpose. The purpose of the article is determined with taking into account the possibility of the using of scribing by the biological students during the lessons at the Faculty of Natural, Physical and Mathematical Education. Methods. The following research methods had been used: theoretical methods, namely system analysis of scientific literature and internet sources; systematization and generalization of scientific concepts in order to summarize the concept of «scribing» and describe the peculiarities of its use in the study of biological concepts by the biological students; empirical methods - questionnaires. Results. Scribing is the image representations, transformation of ideas into visual images. PowToon – is a free online application aimed to the creation of animated video presentations. It provides several options of text animation on the slides, text writing by hand, consistent appearance of letters and simple text animation options. The service allows exporting the created multimedia presentation to Youtube. It was found that the use of scribing in the study of biology, for example, the theme «Photosynthesis. Importance of photosynthesis «helps to understand the peculiarities of complex mechanism of the above-mentioned process. Moreover, the use of this type of presentation during the study of above mentioned topics allowed visualizing theoretical material related to the processes which take place on the cellular level of the organic world and cannot be observed without the special equipment. Originality. Authors used method of scribing for studying biological concepts students for the first time. Conclusions. Today there is a saturation of learning material by the significant number of scientific terms which aren't always clear for audience by ear. It causes the difficulties with general level of students' interest in a particular subject and cognitive interest at whole. The use of such scribe-presentations improves the quality of the mastering the subject.
