Abstract

Introduction. The article deals with the formation and development of education in the UK at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The preconditions of formation and development of higher pedagogical education in the Great Britain are considered. Using the work of previous researchers, the evolution of the development of the educational system of Great Britain is shown. Purpose. Consider the preconditions for the formation and development of higher pedagogical education in the UK. Using the work of previous researchers, we decided to show the evolution of the educational system of the United Kingdom. Originality. The organization of the educational process at university teaching colleges was similar. As before, colleges of education consisted of general and vocational-pedagogical cycles, the latter being divided into practical and theoretical parts. As before, pedagogical practice was conducted in nearby schools under the guidance of local teachers In the conditions of the rapid social movement for the development of general primary education views are appealing to universities. In general, the emergence of daytime colleges of pedagogy was of great significance for the development of the system of professional training of British teachers. The country is acutely concerned with the number and quality of primary school teachers' training. University teacher colleges are of particular interest to this study, because it is on their basis that the pedagogical departments of universities that arose in the beginning of the XX century were formed. Conclusion. In the conditions of the rapid social movement for the development of general elementary education views look to universities. In general, the emergence of day-to-day colleges of pedagogy was of great significance for the development of the system of professional training of UK teaching staff. The country is acutely concerned with the number and quality of primary school teachers' training.
