The correlation between Iranian EFL learners' motivation and using smart boards in their classes

Abstract
This work was examined the link between using smart board (SB) in class and motivation and the correlation of SB on learning a foreign language by testing two groups of the students. In group A the students were in the classes with common white board and students in the other group, we called group B , were under treatment in a class equipped with SB. The students of both groups were high school students in grade 3 in Arak, Iran and were randomly selected among 143 students of two high schools. A standard motivation test and a general English test were administered to both groups A and B. Statistical analysis including ANOVA , T-test and a descriptive statistics revealed following outcomes: 1. The classes with and without SB are not significantly different in motivation 2. No significant difference was seen among these two groups in learning English as a foreign language.
