Abstract

This document in first term, pretend to provide the reader a quick glance of the penetration of Information and Communications Te- chnologies in Mexico, these data will allow him to build its own image of the current status of the social communications thru Internet. Afterwards, it presents an analysis of social media networks, as key players in the Internet communication strategies of governments in Mexico at the local, state and federal level, and also a comparison with other countries accounts, different exercises applied to a variety communication tools of electronic government and its results. After a review of the evidence, the reader would be able to decide whether the current practices in social media networks on e-government platforms in Mexico, are the correct ones to establish a virtual bridge between rulers and ruled, a connection that besides allowing feedback to both sides, allows to impact positively the quality of life of citizens, through the proper delivery of information, communication and services, or not. Subsequently, the author draws the conclusion.
