Substantiation of directions of development for Ukrainian industrial regions for the purpose of structural and technological modernization

Prospects of the main industries on world markets are considered. The world conjuncture and the place of the Ukrainian industry in the world division of labor are analyzed. It is established that the development of industrial regions of Ukraine for the purpose of structural and technological modernization should be carried out step by step, from less technological branches to more technological ones. The development of low-tech industries at the first stage should launch the development of more technologically related ones; ensure the accumulation of financial and human capital, build the reputation of Ukraine as a country that has great potential for Western investors.
