Abstract
The article is devoted to the psychological aspects of the development of emotion understanding in preschoolers. The author focuses on the intrafamily factors of individual differences in understanding emotion by children such as the attachment between the parent and child, the parents' expressiveness, the parent–child emo- tional communication, the frequency of children's involvement in the family conversations about emotion. Based on the analysis of the foreign psychological researches results of the different aspects of emotion understanding development in children in the family the author concludes that the greater part of the individual differences in understanding emotion by preschool children is conditioned by social experience which they gain in the family
