Abstract
This article explores Polish community of Ternopil in 1989–2018. Author analyzes the quantitative indicators of the existing Polish population in Ternopil according to the results of the All-Union Census of 1989 and the All-Ukrainian Census of 2001. Investigation explores the activities of Polish national-cultural associations. The article deals with the process of restoration of religious Roman Catholic communities. The author investigates the state of studying the Polish language in the educational institutions of Ternopil. In the article great attention is paid to the connections of the Polish community with the historical homeland.
