Abstract
A bibliographical review shows the figure of the colorectal cancer patient and the palliative care provided by the health personnel in particular, the primary care nurse. The most relevant historical events were presented around the historical evolution of the care taking into account, characteristics, objectives and different phases through which the patient has passed. The health care for these patients is organized from different levels of care, organizing as a primary, secondary or specialized level and general palliative care. The purpose of a proposal of a strategy with a system of actions to care for patients diagnosed with colorectal cancer, motivated to make it with a system of actions that tax the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with colorectal cancer.
