Abstract
All main modern aspects of etiology and pathogenesis of bacterial infections of skin are presented in this article for help to the practicing physicians. The main germs of pyodermia – staphylococci and streptococci – are described, the characteristic to the properties determining their pathogenicity is given. It is shown that change of reactivity of a macroorganism, pathogenicity of microorganisms and adverse influence of the external environment play a valuable role in pyodermia development. The developed etiological classification of bacterial infections of skin considering not only an etiology, but also depth of skin affect is presented.
