Abstract
The article is part of the thesis (dissertation) entitled Masters Autism: TEACCH as a methodological tool and support to individuals with ASD in Marituba (Para state in Brazil) intends to discuss the use of TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication Handicapped Children) in the development of the learning process of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in school age by teachers and other professionals of education as well as health professionals. In order to do the research there was an option to case study in a descriptive way as methodology. The research was conducted in the Municipal Council Unit of support of individuals with ASD of Marituba-PA (UMAAM), precisely at the early intervention room and Psychomotor circuit room, with the intent to observe, describe and analyze the use of the TEACCH program as mediator in the process of learning in children with ASD. Data was collected by the use of observation, that can also be named structured observation, planned and controlled, non-structured observation, with open questions to technical and teaching staffs of UMAAM, recordings of interviews and questionnaire application with non-structured questions.This works intends the application of TEACCH program in the unit it has happened, and it intends to the help of technical and teaching staffs in the Institution; it also intends the effort to join together family and relatives to school.
