Abstract
A comparative numerical study on different attenuation relationships in terms of peak ground acceleration, peak ground velocity of a particular magnitude, intensity and epicentral distance of earthquake categories is obtained and presented in this paper. The peak ground acceleration (PGA) and velocity (PGV) data and their mean and standard deviation were found out. The standard deviation of earthquake magnitude is analyzed. Further the expression of response spectrum given by different codes is compared on same time scale. Response spectrums are plotted on specific time period and comparative study performed.
