APPLICATION OF QFD IN EDUCATION SECTOR: A REVIEW

In this highly competitive world, quality for any product and service is the most important needs of the day. That has forced various industries to use quality monitoring tool for the advancement of their process and also produced good quality product and services. One most recognized tool for quality monitoring is Quality function deployment (QFD) that helps to design a product and service as demanded by the user. Initially QFD was being used in product development; but the need of quality in education sector has forced various authors to apply it in education sector too. This paper presents a review of literature mainly based on application of QFD in education sector. A thorough understanding of this paper will help the researcher and practitioner to easily find the QFD application in education sector. That will help in the improvement of educational services and also to add some more tool and technique for quality improvement in education.
