Abstract
Despite the economic importance, the scientific issues of filtration process application in the used motor oils regeneration have not been practically considered [1]. The existing filtration models are based on the filter medium modeling as spherical "collectors" array. The particles suspended in the filter medium move in the space between the "collectors". In our study, it is assumed that suspended in a filter medium particles move through numerous capillaries permeating through the filter media. The forces acting on a particle in a capillary, entrained by a fluid flow, are considered in the article. Equations describing the trajectory of particle motion are obtained. The conditions for the precipitation of a particle in a capillary are determined. Formulas determining the particles deposition efficiency in the capillary are obtained.
