Abstract
The annual average evaporation rates were calculated by using the data on water balance components of the year 2005, as applicable to upper Bhima basin catchment area, in the State of Maharashtra, India. It was concluded that the evapotranspiration rates obtained by applying Penman-Monteith method agreed closely with the other two methods, namely, Hargreaves method and Priestley-Taylor method.
