The place of personal bibliography indexes of medical industry figures in the Ukrainian biobibliography repertoire

The historiography of the formation and development of the Ukrainian personal bibliography as an integral part of biobibliography is highlighted. The results of the analysis of the studies published over the last two decades on the pages of a special all-Ukrainian continuing publication in the field of biographical theory, historical biography and the methodology for the formation of biographical information resources “Ukrainian Biographical Science” covering a broad problem-thematic range of issues are presented. The statistical analysis results of the characteristics of personal bibliographies of national medicine figures, presented in the database “Ukrainian biographical sources” of the “Ukrainian national biographical archive”, conducted to determine their place in the Ukrainian biobibliography repertoire. The records are analyzed according to their external features such as the place of publication, the name of the publisher, the date of publication, physical characteristics and additional information about the physical characteristics. The importance of researching these records external characteristics for determining the current state and prospects of sectoral biobibliography is substantiated. The need of the further analysis of biobibliographic studies devoted to medical figures as an important branch of social activity is conditioned.
