Abstract
The aim of the given research is to consider priorities of teenagers in choosing topics of informational messages which they read or write independently. The author analyses the answers of the pupils from middle and senior forms to the questions about their interests, identifies peculiarities of their attitude to mass-media. In the article the author used polling methods and methods of comparative analysis. As a result of the research the author introduces a list of topics of the most interest for teenagers. Schoolchildren make an effort to apply their knowledge received from newspapers in reality. These results must be taken into account in the development of curricula, in particular, for applicants of humanitarian departments of universities
