Enhancing the Capacity of LSB Method by Introducing LSB2Z Method

The purpose of steganography is to conceal the existence of the secret message in the holding image, thus making a message unreadable by a third party. Steganography is an important process due to many factors such as the confidentiality, personality of the message to be sent from the sender to receiver through unsecure communication environment. In this paper we will introduce LSB2 method of data hiding in order to double the capacity of the holding image, by doubling the maximum message size which can be covered by the image. The proposed methodology of applying LSB2 will be implemented and tested in order to prove the efficiency of this method comparing with LSM method.
