Assessment of the impact of the specificity of tourism in the region on the economy and inflation

Abstract
Recently, in the Russian Federation, many regions consider tourism as a starting point for growth, the main aspect of a possible increase in the gross regional product. However, the development of tourism has both supporters and opponents who believe that the increase in the number of tourists contributes to the negative anthropogenic impact on the environment. This article considers not only environmental but also economic factors of tourism influence on the regions of presence. The hypothesis that we are investigating is that in addition to the positive aspects in the form of cash flows to the region, the increase in the number of tourists affects the growth of inflation in the region. The article reveals the relationship between the increase in the number of tourists and changes in the inflationary component of the region''s economy, analyzes the factors affecting the economy and the level of inflation in the region, reveals the correlation between the increase in the level of tourism and the deterioration or improvement of the economic situation in the region.
