Abstract
The article argues that the institutions of reproduction and kinship are the key agents of socialization and the foundation for preserving and transmitting the most important society’s spiritual and moral values. A comparative analysis of the state of reproduction and kinship institutions in countries with different political status, the results of which concluded in the necessity of improving the family and demographic policy in the Donetsk People's Republic has been made.
