Abstract
Vascular malformations are benign lesions of the blood vessels or vascular elements and are considered errors of vascular morphogenesis, displaying abnormal dilatations and channels but not increased cell turnover. Vascular malformations are always present at birth and enlarge in proportion to the growth of the child. They regress and increase in size depending on triggering factors like hormonal, trauma and inflammation . But they do not involute completely. These lesions occur with equal sex predeliction and do not favour races. Vascular lesions of face are not very common. Here is a case report of a 23 year old pregnant female presenting with an AV fistula of left eye lid. The clinical presentation and radiological findings are discussed with emphasis on conservative management for asymptomatic, small vascular lesions and the hormonal influence on these vascular lesions.
