Abstract
Variable operating modes of piston machines cause higher fuel consumption. Increased temperature in a cooling system can improve efficiency of a piston engine operating on idling or partial loads. A heat accumulator installed in a cooling system is able to compensate lack of thermal energy, that is necessary for maintaining increased temperature in a cooling system. This paper is dedicated to calculation of heat accumulator’s parameters.
