Abstract
When determining calculation evacuation time from high-rise buildings an evacuation in a stairwell is the most difficult stage. The problems with assessment of movement of people on the stairs are connected with unfavorable conditions because of a formation of crowdedness and length of evacuation routes. The analyze of foreign and russian studies has been shown the necessity of the data for determining the participation portion of each flow during merging on a landing, establishing the relation between the movement velocity and the density of human flows, determining the route length when human flow is moving in the flights of stairs and on a landing. The following data was obtained as a result of carried out observations.
