Abstract
The article deals with such a historical phenomenon as the introduction by V. I. Lenin of the new economic policy in Ukraine in 1921. All aspects of both positive and negative consequences for the further development of a private enterprise are clearly identified. The difference between this and other reforms aimed at regulating the economy of the Bolsheviks is analyzed. Also summarized are all major changes in the time of the NEP.
