DISADVANTAGES OF THE SYSTEM OF FREE LEGAL AID IN UKRAINE

The article is devoted to the analysis and determination of the problems and drawbacks of the system of free legal aid in Ukraine. The attention is paid to the problematic issues of enforcement practice of the implementation of European standards for ensuring the right to protection. On the basis of the conducted research, ways of improving the guarantees and mechanism of the implementation of human rights to access to justice are proposed. The author notes that the improvement and development of the institution of free legal aid is of paramount importance, since no state can be considered legal and democratic without proper provision of the right to judicial protection and guarantee of the right to legal assistance.
