Abstract
Today, werealizethatwehavecommonfeelingsandthoughts as a Turkishnationthankstoourlanguagespoken in Turan geographyand folk songsandtalessung in thislanguage. Therefore, everyproductspokenwiththislanguage is importantforthesefolks. Fortheunityandcontinuity of ournation, wemustcarefullyconveytheseculturalproductstofuturegenerations. Schools are of paramountimportanceforthepromotion of culture. Thetexts in thetextbooksdistributedbytheMinistry of NationalEducation as a coursematerial in schoolsmustrepresentTurkish, thetexttypeandfunctions of thetext. Ten fairytaletexts in thetextbook, which is considered as a masterthesis, havebeenexamined in thestudy. Inordertoreflectthestudy, Tasa Kuşu wasselectedfromthetexts in thetextbook, but ourreview of thetextwill be included here sothat it does not exceedthelimits of thearticle. Whenexaminingthetexts, questionsaboutthetext, visualsusedforthetextandexplanationsaboutthetexttypewereevaluated. As a result of theevaluations, it wasfoundthatthetextsdid not reflectthetalegenreandthatthetalewas not suitableforarousingthedesire of studentstoaccomplishthechallenge.
