Abstract
Abdominal Cocoon (Sclerosing Encapsulating Peritonitis) is a rare cause of intestinal obstruction in adults. Diagnosis is usually established at laparotomy in patients with recurrent attacks of non-strangulating small bowel obstruction. And the most common diagnosis by literature is Tuberculosis. 17 year old female presented with features of intestinal obstruction, on evaluation she was diagnosed to have volvulus of small bowel, intra-operatively found to have abdominal cocoon (Sclerosing Encapsulating Peritonitis) caused by endometriosis (histopathology), which is a very rare condition especially in unmarried adolescent females.
