Abstract
Generally, the drainage handling in many cities in Indonesia is still partial; therefore, flooding and inundation problems cannot solve completely. Urban drainage management conducted thoroughly, starting with the planning, construction, operation and maintenance phases. Supported by institutional improvement, financing, and community participation. This study analyzes land-use changes, land use patterns effect on flooding, and a closed drainage system model design for flood prevention. Land use patterns are divided into agricultural land, settlements, and open land. Changes in settlement area have a positive effect on runoff discharge. While the land use pattern on flood management has a positive effect on runoff discharge. Therefore, runoff discharge generated by closed channels is a circular cross-section form because it flows fast discharges. The results in the open channel sediment no longer settling to the channel bottom. Design a closed drainage system model using a circular cross-section, using a control tub (manhole) at any distance of 100 meters. The channel diameter used in this study varies between 80 cm to 100 cm using precast concrete
