Abstract
The received data as a result of screening study showed that in the surveyed rural regions 81,1% of inhabitants have risk factors of developing vascular heart diseases. Among men such risk factor, as smoking (37,9%), among women ? overweight of (53,3) % more often occurs. The prevalence of arterial hypertension among inhabitants of the surveyed villages averaged 41,22%, at both points the frequency of arterial hypertension was higher among women, than among men. The received data on prevalence of leading risk factors of developing cardiovascular diseases (CVD) can be used for definition of further strategy of improving preventive work.
