Methodological basis of the conception of control of foreign languages study by students of non‐linguistic specialties

Abstract

An important structural component of professional reliability is foreign language training, which is a qualitative characteristic of the personality of a specialist and covers the whole set of scientific and theoretical knowledge, practical skills in the field of professional communication, experience in professional interaction, sustainable motivation for professional communication. The study of foreign languages by the students of non-linguistic specialties in the university is communicative-oriented and professionally-oriented in nature and is aimed at mastering of the foreign language speech competence for communication in social and professional spheres of human activity. It should be mentioned that appropriate attention is paid to teaching the language for specific professional purposes. The practical goal of teaching foreign language is to form students' linguistic, communicative and culture-oriented competence. One of the components is communicative competence is the ability to perceive and reproduce the information in foreign language in accordance with the conditions of speech communication. The objective of the present study is the development of the theoretical and methodological foundations of monitoring the process of foreign language training, which give the possibility to adapt the informational resource of studying foreign languages by the students of non-linguistic specialties to dynamically developing educational conditions. Methodological approaches to the study of the process of studying foreign languages for foreign language training of students of non-linguistic specialties is evolving along with the changes that occur in the educational system and in the world in general. Thus and so, the systematization of the theoretical, methodological and practical factors on which the modern methodology of foreign language training of students of non-linguistic specialties is based, to some extent, makes it possible to form new opportunities for the education system in the direction of their modernization to meet the present-day needs. It was determined that the development, modernization and unification of the control system, as a result of which a synthesis of certain competencies of students is achieved, provides a high level of knowledge of a foreign language.
