Features of definition of the concept of "forgiveness" as a factor of personal development of people with christian worldview

The article presents the results of the analysis of modern definitions of the concept of «forgiveness» in psychological science on the basis of the works of domestic, Russian and foreign authors. The main points of the concept of forgiveness in accordance with the Christian worldview are outlined. As a result of the analysis of the scientific psychological literature and features of the Christian worldview about the concept of «forgiveness», the definition of the concept of «forgiveness» is presented in the process of exploring it as a factor of personal development of people with a Christian worldview The peculiarities of the ideas of Christians and the peculiarities of biblical teaching on the theme of forgiveness were determined, that had provided possibilities to form such a definition of «forgiveness», which took into account the peculiarities of the ideology of Christians, that increases the effectiveness of the study of the phenomenon of forgiveness as a factor of personal development of people with a Christian worldview. Nowadays, representatives of Ukrainian society practicing Christian values in everyday life are characterized by a system of values and an emotional attitude to the issue of forgiveness of offenders and enemies, which is formed in the process of personal development during their lives based on the principles of biblical teaching. It is revealed that the principles of effective forgiveness exist objectively, can be revealed in the process of scientific research, but we can also find important information about them in spiritual literary sources, for example, in the Bible, which significantly contributes to the psychological scientific study of forgiveness among people with a Christian worldview. The definition of forgiveness in the theological approach is viewed just as a religious approach is applied to the question of the discovery of natural laws by scholars, that is, just as the laws of nature, which according to religious doctrine are established by God and exist independently of the will of men, are not created by scientists, but are only being opened or detected by scientists. It is important to be aware of the relation between the concept of the essence of the concept of «forgiveness» within a scientific psychological approach and a Christian theology, which is an objectively very important issue in the study of psychological support of forgiveness as a factor of personal development in people with a Christian worldview.
