Abstract
The presented article deals with the problem of introducing the foreign fictional discourse (British and American in particular) as the stylistically and pragmalinguistically marked component into the educational pro- cess in the Russian comprehensive school at the late stage of study. This kind of discourse is treated as a key to authentic language usage and of acquiring stable communicative and linguistic competences within the class- room language study. The authors present the analysis of the fictional discourse presentation and understanding its linguistic specifics within the books for high school students.
