Abstract
The act of murder of fifteen Slovakian Jews on the night of December 6/7th, 1945, is only a single episode in the history of OUN-UPA and their contribution to Shoah. Thanks to the works of professional historians, the responsibility of Banderites for that crime had become authoritatively questioned. Without thorough investigation of all available sources, without presenting all the evidence, working individually but still referencing each other, those historians created an amazing, allegedly based on scientific methods, construct. The author of the following work questions the research of professional historians and strives to disclose names and/or pseudonyms of murderers. He agreed to publish the preliminary results of his investigation, before its official conclusion, with an aim to raise people's attention and initiate the discussion among international academic circles, as the author's own means in this regard are limited. Unexpectedly, finding out the true circumstances of the historic event limited in space and time, allowed a glimpse at an inner workings of the highest circles of OUN-UPA in Poland. The evil protagonists in this story, Nazi collaborators, who were active throughout the entire war in OUN-UPA, are an important source of knowledge in the research, even after the war when they acted as international couriers of OUN and played their role in counter-intelligence operations. At the beginning of the 21th century tragic history from 1945 started to interweave with modern times, as professional historians in their texts began to add its new chapters and turned themselves into involved actors. What is more, it is unclear when the key documents have vanished from Slovakian archives, the ones that would help in solving the puzzle of the murder. In the meantime, the portrait of the murderer and rapist of Jews from Kolbasov was put on display in the museum of the supreme commander of the UPA. What an interesting history!
