Abstract
Modern school education should be accompanied by the development and support of talented young people, the search for gifted and motivated children. This plays a special role in the professional orientation of high schoolchildren when choosing a future profession, which is actively implemented in close cooperation between the shod and University. It becomes urgent to search for pedagogical technologies to improve personal development and professional orientation of school leaver. The most effective form can serve as the subject of the Olympics. The results of the unified state exam in biology, chemistry and Russian language are taken into account when applying to the medical University. In this regard, the subject Olympiad in biology becomes important motivating value for students high school children. Over the past two years, the Ryazan State Medical University has been hosting an open biology Olympiad for schoolchildren. The Olympiad included the qualifying stage in the distance format and the final stage in full-time form. For the participants were developed the original content of the test tasks with a choice of answers, tasks with drawings, questions of a problematic nature, situational problems, as well as questions that require a full, detailed answer and genetic problems. Control and measuring materials corresponded to the GEF of secondary General education in biology, had an increased level of complexity, problematic nature and medical orientation.
