Abstract
This article examines the influence of fiction on the moral education of primary school children. The age-related features of this category of children are considered, which must be taken into account when organizing literary reading lessons. The opinions of foreign and domestic scholars on the influence of fiction on the formation of a moral personality are given. The article discusses the tasks that need to be addressed in literary reading lessons in order for the child to be fully educated.
