Abstract

Over the past decades, we have seen a significant increase in iatrogenic crimes. This circumstance dictates that we introduce certain measures to combat and prevent this phenomenon, including by means of crim- inal legislation. Together with this, the most important problem at present is the lack of special provisions in the Criminal code providing for liability for iatrogenic crimes. This is one of the main reasons, hence the high laten- cy of such crimes. It is worth noting that there are simply no official statistics on the state of crime in the health sector. Many information about the violation of the patient's rights is provided by the media and appeals from relatives and victims themselves. Health authorities carefully hide these facts, which contributes to the criminali- zation of this area and the growth of crimes. In addition, iatrogenic crimes cause serious difficulties in their in- vestigation and detection
