Abstract
The Study aimed to identify the level of the cognitive style (Independence / dependance) of the first year learners. In the light of the gender and academic specialty variables. The scale of "shapes containing the collective pictures" of the researcher "ANWARMOHAMED ELSHARQUAUI", was adapt on a sample of (114) regular learners at the secondary "MOHAMED CHERIF MESSAADIA school" in M'sila city.- The results of the study were as Following:- the level of the cognitive style (Independence / dependance) on the perception field was average for the 1etsecondaryyearlearners.- there's no significant differences between medium degrees of (Independence / dependance) on the perception fiel disattributed to the variables of gender and academic.
