Abstract

The article's subject matter is Common Slavonic derivation reconstruction, in particular the reconstruction of Common Slavonik suffixless verbs which are not reflected in any of the Slavonic languages. Having established the Common Slavonic word formation pattern «underlying suffixless verb ― derived noun», the author bases his reconstruction on deverbative nouns, from which, in accordance with pattern, he deduces the following Common Slavonic suffixless verbs: **česti «to scratch, comb», **česti «to cut», **drebti «to break up, split up, splinter, subdivide», **dret'i «to split, chop», **klepti «to beat, strike», **nezti «to pierce», **plesti «to give birth, bear», **stet'i «to cover», šesti «to go», **tepti «to warm up, make warm», **žesti «to want, desire».
